CORONA VIRUS (What you need to know)!!!!

Hello guys, today's topic is about very favourite virus of panic creators ,the "NOVEL CORONA VIRUS".
Till now in my blogs you have seen very technical topics  ,but this time this blog is for every common person who knows about the so called epidemic of corona virus .
Since its onset we have come to know so much more about this virus

NAME 

COVID-19 [COrona VIrus Disease-2019] .
I think this name is apt given by WHO , altough INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR TAXONOMY OF VIRUSES suggested to add SARS to it's name but WHO turned it down as this virus has already created enough panic or havoc , so apparently they did'nt want to add wood to that fire , and as i think , it is right on their part to do so .

UPDATES

As of 18th february 2020 there have been around 73,000 casees of COVID-19 , and around1900 deaths .
Altough this is an alarming increase , but we need to see the circumstances as well . In China so many cases were there that slowly doctors ran out of kits to diagnose the patients , but now they have started to use clinical symptoms to diagnose , meaning if someone has the symptoms then he is diagnosed with it ,thus increasing the number of cases .

SATISTICS

A famous doctor (Dr Mike) has coined "#ALERT NOT ANXIOUS " is exactly what we need ,cause there are NEWS channels , websites and other forms of social media which increasing numbers every hour , but we should not panic as WHO is the organization to look out for because if we can rely on any kind of update it must be from WHO ,and this is where i got my stats too.
There have been comparisions of this virus with "EBOLA" and that too on basis of "lethality" ,but to clear the fake clouds ,till now 81% cases are mild ,14% are moderate to severe and around     2-5% are highly lethal . To give you a perspective right now most lethal EBOLA has around 50% lethality rate ,SARS (the cousin to COVID-19)had 10% and COVID-19 has only 2%. To compare the common flu or the rhino virus infection has around 0.3% lethality in INDIA . If this does not sound more ensuring then ,here is something that will cheer you up .

POSITIVITY

Scientists have said that since till now there is no cure we must not panic and listen to any crap about treating this . Although they have also said that work for the vaccination is underway and by seeing its development it will be ready around 18 months from now ,this sounds like a big timespan but seeing the panic this is like a ray of hope as always "PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE". There is a lot more to know but i guess this enough for today , for more updates stay tuned !!!!
